Microsoft and Qualcomm: Pharos’ Commitment to Arm Compatibility
Our engineering team has been collaborating with Microsoft and Qualcomm to develop a fully compatible solution. Pharos Cloud has supported Secure Release printing and print tracking from Arm-based PCs since the 4.2 release in May 2025. With the new 4.3 release, we have developed a desktop app that supports managed direct IP printing. In addition, the release updates the print experience of the Microsoft IPP driver to match the look and feel of the Pharos IPP driver that customers are familiar with.
Pharos’ Guidance for Deployment of Arm Devices
For now, we recommend rolling out Windows 11 on Arm devices selectively. Focus initial deployments on users who can adapt to the current limitations. For executives or employees with specific needs and workflows, it’s best to roll out the transition once initial challenges have been addressed to ensure a seamless experience.
