We’re happy to announce the latest update to Blueprint Enterprise! Update 3 provides administrative improvements and several new features, including touchless printing via the Pharos Print mobile app, a new admin page for mobile QR Code release configuration, and Sentry Print support for additional HP, Konica Minolta, and Xerox devices!
New Features in This Release:
Touchless printing: We introduced our touchless printing solution for Sentry Print early in 2020. Now it’s available in all Pharos solutions, including Blueprint Enterprise. Site administrators can easily establish touchless printing workflows for employees who prefer to limit their contact with shared surfaces.
You can now provide touchless printing for employees via two different print release methods: proximity cards and the Pharos Print app (iOS and Android).
With the proximity card option, users simply tap their proximity (ID) card at their preferred printer. All documents in their personal queue will start printing after 5 seconds. There is no need to touch the printer interface.
Touchless printing via the Pharos Print app is both fast and simple. Just walk up to a printer and use your mobile phone to quickly scan a QR code affixed to the printer. You can manage your print jobs and confirm or change output details right from your phone, without ever having to make contact with the printer interface.
- Expanded support for Sentry Print: Sentry Print provides a simple and consistent secure print experience across all device manufacturers, as shown below. This significantly improves the end user experience, especially in environments with a variety of device makes and models. Sentry Print is now supported by a variety of printers and MFPs made by HP, Konica Minolta, and Xerox. (Support for additional Canon and Lexmark devices coming soon!)
Sentry Print is also available on the Beacon cloud platform, making it easy for companies to migrate their secure printing services to the cloud.
- New Admin Page for QR Code Configuration: Blueprint’s Print Center includes a new QR code section that makes it easy for site administrators to generate and download QR code labels. You can stick these labels onto your network printers to enable secure mobile print release. You can also customize the QR code labels as needed. For example, you can set the label orientation, apply your own logo, and control the information you want to appear on the label, e.g. description, model, make, etc.
