We’re excited to announce the release of Blueprint 5.5, the latest version of the leading on-prem print management platform trusted by large enterprises to enhance security and efficiently manage enterprise printing. Updates with this release are designed to enhance administrative experience by making installation, updates, and maintenance easier.
Blueprint Administrator Now Deployable with Microsoft Intune
Blueprint 5.5 introduces a new silent installer option that enables the distribution of Blueprint Administrator using Microsoft Intune (or similar software deployment tools). You can now automate the app install to an IT admin’s workstation.
Improved Print Scout Installer
Blueprint 5.5 addresses an issue when installing Print Scout with the Pharos IPP queue option. Previously, the installation would fail when the IPP Server was not accessible. Now, the installer will complete successfully, and the Pharos IPP queue creation is deferred until the Print Scout is connected to the IPP server.
New Sentry Print Service Updater
Sentry Print Service updates are now available as a separate download on the Pharos Help Center. A new standalone Sentry Print Service patcher (first introduced with Blueprint 5.4 Update 4.1) enables IT admins to update the Sentry Print Service without impacting other Blueprint services.
Support for SQL Server 2022
Blueprint 5.5 adds support for Microsoft SQL Server 2022. It is the current release and will be supported by Microsoft until 2033. Blueprint 5.5 also supports Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2017, and 2019.
