Pharos Products and Corporate Operations Unaffected by CrowdStrike Error
ROCHESTER, NY, July 22, 2024 — Pharos Systems International, a global leader in innovative PrintOps solutions for large enterprises and higher education institutions, today reassured its customers that neither its products nor its corporate systems have been impacted by the CrowdStrike issue.
“We understand the challenges our customers are facing as a result of the CrowdStrike update and extend our deepest empathy.” says Josh Orum, CEO of Pharos. “I would like to personally thank the Pharos team for their unwavering commitment to security and reliability, ensuring our products remain unaffected. Our focus on delivering dependable solutions has never been more critical, and I am proud of our collective efforts to maintain the highest standards for our customers.”
Pharos and CrowdStrike
Pharos does not use CrowdStrike components in any of its products, offices, or cloud infrastructure. Therefore, neither its products nor corporate operations have been directly affected.
Moreover, while Pharos Cloud does run a small number of Windows containers, they are well protected inside its cloud infrastructure and not impacted by this type of issue. This is because Pharos does not permit unmanaged updates.
Customers running Pharos Blueprint and Uniprint or optional Pharos Cloud components on Windows servers as well as desktops with the CrowdStrike Falcon agent installed are likely to be impacted. Please see the links below for information from CrowdStrike and Microsoft on how to resolve these issues. Mac and Linux desktops are not susceptible and do not require any attention.
