The Pharos Omega PS200 is a digital controller with a color touchscreen that hosts the user interface to Pharos Blueprint® Enterprise. The PS200 works with all makes and models of single-function printers and copiers, as well as multifunction printers that cannot be transformed into Pharos integrated multifunction printers (iMFPs).

The Omega PS200 enables print security and job accounting by requiring users to be authenticated before they can print. The system is configurable with a card reader so that users can simply swipe their ID cards to authenticate themselves.

The Omega PS200 operates in conjunction with the Secure Release Here® feature of Blueprint Enterprise. When users print documents on a computer, their jobs do not go directly to a printer. Instead, they are held on a server. When users need their printouts, they walk up to a printer, authenticate themselves, and use the PS200 to select and release jobs.

The Omega PS200 delivers the following benefits:

• Document security − No job is printed until its owner is physically present at the device and has been authenticated
• Card registration − Dynamically register new user ID cards with login credentials to enable use of secured print/copy devices
