The Informed Print feature of Pharos Uniprint® allows you to communicate with users about the cost of their print jobs before they're printed. It's done via pop-up messages on their computers.

Most people have no idea how much printing costs. Informed Print provides them with the information they need to make responsible printing decisions. That could mean printing fewer documents or choosing less expensive printing options. Informed Print can be especially useful for individuals who are not typically charged for print, such as faculty members, administrators, and staff.

You can configure Informed Print to apply to both B&W and color documents, or just to color documents. You can also configure it to apply only to documents whose cost is above a certain threshold.
