Uniprint 8.1 Popup Client Revision 79
This update addresses a known problem with Uniprint 8.1. Installing the update is mandatory for all users who use the Popup Client to submit print jobs.
Installation
The update affects the Pharos Popup Client, and should be applied on every machine with the Pharos Administrator application installed. The update replaces the module used to build Popup Client packages.
To apply the update:
- Copy the Popupmodule.exe file to the C:\Program Files\Pharos\Bin\PackageCreator\StaticModules directory, replacing the existing file.
- In the Package Definitions context of the Pharos Administrator, rebuild all packages.
- If not using the Pharos Automatic Updater, manually install the updated packages on all client workstations.
The application of this update constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, please refer to the license.rtf file on your Pharos CD.
Details
This update addresses the following issue:
- In the case where Popups is used with Cost Centers, a Logon Plug-in is in use, and a user does not have permissions for any Cost Centers, the Popup Client would fail to correctly submit the job, resulting in the Logon Plug-in not being executed.
In addition, the update includes previously released fixes for the following issues:
- When using host names or fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) longer than 32 characters for any server, the Pharos Popup Client would fail to send print jobs to the Uniprint system.
