Uniprint 8.1 Pharos Station Revision 95

This update addresses known problems with Uniprint 8.1. Installing the update is mandatory for all users.

Before You Start

This hot-fix should only be applied to installations using Uniprint Suite 8.1.

Installation

The update affects the Pharos Station, and should be applied to all Pharos Station machines.

To apply the update:

On each Pharos Station machine, close the Pharos Station application.
Run the supplied PharosStationInstaller.exe executable.
The version number of the PStation.exe file in the Pharos\Bin folder will now be 8.1.5293.95.
Restart the Pharos Station application.

The application of this update constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, please refer to the license.rtf file on your Pharos CD.

Details

This update addresses the following issues:

In the case where the Proxy Service is used with the SignUp Server: If a user attempted to create a reservation while the Proxy service believed the Principal Services to be offline, the user would receive an incorrect error message indicating that the user does not exist.
Note: Resolution of this issue also requires Revision 95 or later of the following: Pharos Proxy Server, SignUp Server and SignUp Client.

In addition, the update includes previously released fixes for the following issues:

When creating a computer reservation in SignUp and the user is immediately assigned to an available computer, a message was displayed to the user advising of the assignment. The message displayed included the user's Logon ID when it should have used their Alias.
If a user released a job submitted via Popups with Cost Center information included, they would not then be able to release any jobs that did not also contain Cost Center data. An error would be displayed regarding insufficient funds and the user would have to log off the Station and log back on in order to release non-Cost Center jobs.
When a Pharos Station machine is configured for automatic logon and for the Pharos Station application to start on machine startup, the Station would attempt to connect before the network was fully configured. The Station would display the message "Connection refused" and the application would need to be closed and restarted.
The Pharos Station would fail to complete start up when configured to use an EFTPOS integration DLL.
