Uniprint 8.1 Database Server Revision 17

This update addresses a known problem with Uniprint 8.1. Installing the update is mandatory for all users.

Installation

The update affects the Pharos Database Server. To apply the update:

On Database Server machine, stop the Pharos Database Server service.
Copy the DBServer.exe executable to the Pharos\bin directory, overwriting the existing file. Make sure that the version number of the updated file is 8.1.5293.17.
Restart the Pharos Database Server service.

Details

This update addresses the following issue:

Some routers periodically close idle database connections without notifying the Pharos Database Server. This will cause a buildup of new Database Server connection threads over a period of time. Eventually, the Database Server may fail to create new connection threads. As a result, the service may stop.
