Uniprint 8.0 Hot Fix 14

This Hot Fix is compatible with the 8.0 release of Uniprint.

Installation

This Hot Fix affects the Pharos Station application, and should be applied to all Pharos Station PCs.

To apply the Hot Fix, copy the supplied pstation.exe file to the Pharos\bin directory on all Pharos Station PCs, overwriting the existing file.  (Note: the Pharos Station Client Installer, found in the Packages context in Pharos Administrator, should be run to install or upgrade the Pharos Station before replacing the pstation.exe with this Hot Fix file.)

Once the Hot Fix is applied, the version number of the Pharos Station executable will be updated to 8.0.4800

The application of this Hot Fix constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, please refer to the file 'license.rtf' on your Pharos CD.

Details

This Hot Fix addresses the following issues:

  • Widescreen support has been added to the Pharos Station to allow the Station to be used with screens that do not use the traditional 4 x 3 aspect ratio.

  • In the case where users access the Pharos Station using a combination of both internal Pharos accounts and a cash card reader attached to the Station, the Pharos Station would hang when a user attempted to log off.  The application of this Hot Fix ensures that the Pharos Station works correctly when internal accounts and cash card readers are used together.

  • In some cases multiple page jobs could be displayed as costing one cent more than their actual cost.  For example, a 9 page job charged at 15 cents per page would be displayed as costing $1.36 instead of $1.35 (the correct amount would be charged, but the cost shown on the display would be incorrect).  The application of this Hot Fix ensures that job costs are always rounded and charged correctly on the Pharos Station display.
