Uniprint 7.1 Hot Fix 1

Pre-install

This Hot Fix is compatible with the 7.1 release of Pharos. It is required to upgrade the Popup Client from ealier verions but is not necessary if upgrading from version 7.0.

Installation

This Hot Fix affects the installers/upgraders for the Popup Client. To apply the Hot Fix:

  1. Copy the Hot Fix file CDSUPopupClient.exe into the Pharos\Components directory of your Principal Server (overwriting the file if it is already there).
  2. Copy the Hot Fix file PopupModule.exe into the Pharos\bin\PackageCreator\StaticModules directory of all Pharos Administrator PCs, overwriting the existing file.
  3. Click the Build All Package Files button on the Distribution System > Package Definitions context toolbar to re-build any existing install packages.

Once the Hot Fix is applied, the version number of the affected files will be updated to 7.1.4005.

The application of this Hot Fix constitutes acceptance of the conditions specified in your license agreement. To view the license agreement, please refer to the file 'license.rtf' on your Pharos CD.

Details

The Hot Fix addresses the following issue:

Attempts to upgrade pre-7.0 versions of the Popup Client to Pharos 7.1 would fail. The application of this Hot Fix ensures that the Popup Client can be upgraded using either install packages or the Distribution System.

Note: When using install packages to upgrade an earlier version of the Popup Client, a “Local Port: The requested resource is in use.” message may appear. Click OK to continue and the installation will complete normally.
