Testing information

Model Firmware Version Date Tested
D/5000Revision H18 November 1999
D/5000Revision J29 May 2000

The Danyl Card Reader Logon DLL supports the Danyl standard cash card reader. The DLL returns a card balance and four-digit Site Code for tracking, but no individual ID. The DLL cannot tell the difference between cash cards and unit cards.

The Danyl standard cash card reader must have the AUX (i.e. serial) interface option.

Card Reader Wiring

This diagram views the card reader connector from the rear.

Wiring specifications previous to build X.XX.0024 caused intermittent failure of the Danyl Logon DLL. The Card Reader ground (Pin 6) was connected to the PC’s RTS line (Pin 7). New wiring specification corrects the problem but the Danyl.dll is compatible with both previous and new cable wiring specifications.
