The CopiCard Card Reader Logon DLL returns the debit cash card balance and ID. The card is only written when it is ejected. This means the balance on the card reader display does not change when the cost of a print job is debited. However, the PHAROS Station balance display does track the correct balance. As the card is ejected the new debited balance is briefly displayed on the card reader display.

For billing security, the Copicard cash card reader invalidates cards if there is a card trapped in the card reader when the reader powers up.
