Pharos 8.0 Hot Fix 9

Pre-install

This Hot Fix is compatible with the 8.0 release of Pharos.

Installation

This Hot Fix applies to the Pharos Administrator. It should be applied to all PCs running the Pharos Administrator.

To apply this Hot Fix:

  1. Close Pharos Administrator.
  2. Run the supplied UpdateAdmin.exe on the Pharos Administrator machine.

  3. (This will copy the new Administrator files to the Pharos\Bin folder and register the new files with MMC.  The PackageBuilder will also be updated.)

Details

This Hot Fix addresses the following issue:

In Pharos Administrator it was not possible to add a Custom Module in the Packages context.  The following error would be displayed:

Unable to insert the Module into the database. The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint "CK_module_osos_xxxxxxxx". The conflict occurred in database "pharos", table "dbo.module_os", column 'os'.

The application of this Hot Fix ensures that Custom Modules for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms can be created and correctly inserted into the Pharos Database for use with Packages.
