Pharos 8.0 Hot Fix 5

Pre-install

This Hot Fix is compatible with the 8.0 release of Pharos.

Installation

This Hot Fix applies to the Pharos SignUp Server and should be applied to all SignUp Server PCs.

To apply this Hot Fix:

  1. Stop the Pharos SignUp Server service.
  2. Copy the SUServer.exe executable to the Pharos\bin directory, overwriting the existing file.
  3. Restart the Pharos SignUp Server service.

After applying this update, the SignUp Server's version number will be 8.0.4790.

Details

This Hot Fix addresses the following issue:

  • It was not possible to set the Server HostName record in the Pharos Server Configuration to use either a Fully-Qualified Domain Name, IP Address, or a DNS Alias

    1. Update the SignUp Server service as per the Installation instructions above.
    2. In Pharos Administrator, under the Server Configuration context, update the HostName entry to include the FQDN, IP Address, or Alias.
      (Include the full name here, rather than using the Domain name field.)
    3. Issue a Change Control.
